I had submitted my application under CEC NOC code: 2173 in April 2014. I received my AOR on 15th May 2014 it reflected that the application was received by them on 17th April 2014. After this I haven't received any mail or call, or any request, requesting for additional document or medical request.
I sent couple of mails to Ottawa CPC requesting for status update. Received reply as below,
The file is in process for review.
No action or document is needed from you at this time. While we attempt to process applications as quickly as possible, each application is unique and we are unable to guarantee a specific time frame for its completion.
Our office will get in contact with you regarding the next steps in your file.

Is there anyone in similar situation. Is there any action to be taken from my side. can I approach MP office at this stage ?
Yeah, I am in exactly the same position with similar dates, have 2 GCMS notes and both show the same thing. Seems my file is just sitting somewhere and totally forgotten about. I am just about on the verge of seeking assistance from the local MP.

One common reason for applications to be held up, is security checks. I highly doubt that that's an issue with an Australian applicant and as you have already seen your GCMS notes, it could very well be time for you to start asking your local MP for help.

Thanks Arrowberry, I find the whole process extremely frustrating especially when one needs to use the GCMS notes as a defacto "updating process". My notes show that they have received the Australian Police clearances and is showing as "Review by Officer Required" for the certificates. I really don't know why a review is required for a very straightforward clearance certificate which I provided them. I am a bit worried that nothing is showing up in my notes for our NZ reports - for these we had to provide CIC with completed forms which they will use to get NZ police certificates. I am worried that they may have forgotten to do this. For a file to be sitting somewhere for 6 months for the CA Review is very perplexing when all they need to do is view the certificates and keep the file moving.
