Hello,
I have citizenship oath ceremony scheduled soon but my PR card is expiring 5 days before the oath date. Do I need to apply to renew my pr card? Will I still be considered under applied status during these 5 days?

I don't know what applied status is, but no, you don't need to have a new/valid PR card. Your PR card is not your status, you will still be a PR and 'legal' in every sense without one.
