Uh...hopefully you are joking, right?!?!
Actually, not really, Ponga. She becomes very disgruntled at times and it does put strain on me and the marriage.

Then why did you apply inland and not outland??
torontomike said:For the simple reason that at the time of application I would not have been able to show the amount of income required to meet the mandatory minimum income on the financial evaluation, which is done for the Outland but not the Inland. Also, she does not do well with long distance, which for a long time our relationships had been and it became a real problem.

canuck_in_uk said:As well, outland and inland refer solely to where the application is processed, NOT where the applicant currently is. It is perfectly legal and acceptable to file an outland application while in Canada and to remain in Canada throughout the processing.
torontomike said:Actually I did not require advice for this decision, but came to it from researching (including reading gazillions of posts on this forum). It is actually a fact that the inland application does NOT require the financial evaluation form to be completed whereas the outland does. Therefore, it can be reasonably inferred that the financial bar for the outland application to meet is at least more explicit.
canuck_in_uk said:No, it's not a fact.
The Financial Evaluation form, IMM1283, is required by both inland and outland apps when the sponsor or sponsored spouse had a dependent child who has a child of their own, i.e. 3 generations.
If there is only a spouse or a spouse with dependent children to sponsor, then both inland and outland apps require the Sponsorship Evaluation, IMM5481.
