I am still waiting, no response. File has been transferred to local 6 months ago,
1. Why GTA office so fast?
2. Why people applied in 2014 so fast?
3. How do local office schedule test? wait such a long time? normal?

I applied in June 2013, and received nothing other than the acknowledgement letter with the test preparation book. I just ordered the ATIP records the other day.

You're asking a really good question and believe me or not, I'm looking for its answer over a year !
I really don't understand why some people's applications are processed so fast while some other applications take too long. I have seen so many similar applicants whose cases were preprocessed with different delay.
When I came onto this forum, I noticed the CIC divides applications to at least three groups (let's forget about RQ right now) and I haven't ever never understood how they do it and based on what criteria they do it.
it really sucks to wait this long.

yesterday I called them again and the agent said a few more weeks to transfer the file. a few more means 2 more, 4 more, 8 more.....?
and then she said the file can stay in Sydney for maximum 1 year !
o what the hell. we have no other choice. my sister decided to go to Australia . she applied 2 years after me, she got her visa before me and she already filled 4 years and after 2 months she got her citizenship. she told me to apply for there . I should have listen to her
