Will i face any problems travelling on one way ticket to Toronto from London Heathrow, Because when i came to London i bought a return ticket from toronto to london. And i am wondering if thats going to be an issue. I have a tourist visa for Canada.
Basically when i went to Toronto from London in October 2009 i bought a return ticket but i totally forgot to change the return flight details (for future use) and it became invalid as i missed my flight. Therefore i had to buy another ticket to travel to London, so obviously now when i go back to Toronto on this ticket in IO eyes it would be one way right?
are you coming back to Canada in a few days? Have you prepared all your documentation?
yes, in their eyes, your ticket would be one-way, but personally I don't think having a return ticket in YOUR case would help much. Just get yourself prepared with all the needed documents and if they find out you have an inland app in progress, ensure to have all what might be requested to convince the IO that you will leave Canada if your application is refused. Showing past employer's reference letters, any kinds of recommendation letters, proof of family ties, bank account with sufficient funds, all qualifications, proof of the ongoing relationship with your partner while you are away from her/him etc, that's what I would do if I leave Canada...being too prepared always is better than not enough.
Yes he did, i said i am visiting my partner and friends... he asked me where your partner lives and he also asked me how many bags i checked in. That's all.
