One person just got PPR and his background status or any other did not change since Dec 2019 (AOR). So I don't think there is any reason to check the application.

Where do I stand as per theory of this thread?

Thank you. My visa office is New Delhi which sends out PPRs in bulk and even the ghost update. 25 applicants with AOR in June, 2019 have reported to receive ghost update yesterday. Let's see how long they take. Fingers crossed.

Hi, when i logged in to my cic ac on 21st Feb it showed "Application/profile updated" instead of "Submitted".. dunno what it means as there was no change in my ac. My VO is New Delhi and i have completed my 6 month mark on 28th jan. Has anyone got the same update?

Hey, did you track your other ghost updates? I'd say your background check is on now, but it is hard to say without knowing how it looked before

As mentioned in my comments since 9th October(MEP) there has been no update in my status. It's the same as shown in the snapshot. This is the first Ghost Update I have got since MEP.

Dear Derkdsou,

I have question for you please clarify this. Here is brief background:

I am outland paper-based PR applicant under AIPP stream. My AOR date is 8th Jan 2019. Done medicals on 22nd Jan 2019 but I could not clear them and have to give them sputum samples and will repeat chest x-ray after 3 month ( which will be 22nd April 2019). My wife and daughter cleared there exams but I am principal applicant.

Well my questions is : my PR file processing will be put on hold for further processing until I pass the medicals ???
or they will keep performing other checks and procedures while I am waiting for re-medicals ?

Looking forward to your and all other experts opinion please.

Hello Everyone,

My application status is as follows,

ITA - Dec 19 2020
AOR -16 Feb 2020
MEP - 26 Feb 2020
Biometric- 02 March 2020

Perhaps, on 26th I received a communication for Biometric and a request letter (Proof of Separation - Marital Status as Legally separated ). I have provided the petition copy and an affidavit from my advocate stating my separation is on Mutual Consent(Submission date - 03rd March). A day later, the Review of Additional documents changed to "Not Applicable". My BG status as changed to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check". - Hope this is normal ?. Estimated completion is August 16th.

I’m a CEC inland applicant. Applied for EE

My timeline is
ITA: Sept 17,2019
AOR: Oct 18,2019
MEP: Nov 14,2019
Ghost Update: Feb 17,2020
No update after that
background check says: we are processing your background check. We will send you a massage if we need more information. (I’m not sure whether it’s ip2 or 1)

I tried calling CIC 2 times after the ghost update. In first call the agent told me. It’s because your application has been touched. Your medical and criminality have been passed. Security is in process.
I called them again after 2 days to ask about Eligibility. The agent replied: Eligibility is at Review Required. However, he didn’t not explain why it’s Review Required? Also, he told me your medicals and criminality have been passed. Security check is yet to start.
2 different replies from 2 different agents about security check.
I’m really LOST, where my application is going. I’ve been reading different web forums some web forms say after ghost update, ppr mail comes in a week or two. Now, I’m in third week nothing from them. On the other side, some say Review Required cases may take up to a year to reach at the final stage.
Need experts suggestions.
