Application for permanent residence recieved? what does it mean

My timelines
spousal sponsorship outland through Abu Dhabi
Aplpication recd in CPC missauga Feb 10th
Decision made March 9th
Letter mailed March 9th
Status updated today on ecas : Application for Permenant Residence has been received...
Does this mean I am approved as a sponsor since they sent the application to the visa office in Abu Dhabi???
......I have not reecived my lettter of approval to sponsor from CPC-M yet...anxiously awaiting! anyone

Unless you didn't tick the box saying you wanted the application withdrawn if the sponsorship is not approved, then yes the file would only be transferred if you were approved.

I am in the same situation. I am in British Columbia, Canada, and my husband is in Morocco. Immigration Canada said they made a decision about my sponsorship application and they sent a letter on March 28 to inform us of their decision (which I have not received yet). Then, today April 4, I checked our status on line and it says that the permanent residence application has been received on March 31, 2011. Does that really mean the sponsorship has been approved? Does that mean the application for permanent residence has been received at the visa office in Rabat, Morocco? If yes, how is it possible that this application arrived so fast in Rabat?

Hi Habiti, yes it means the application has been received by the VO handling application. My letter was mailed on march 9th and i received it on march 21st....mail is slow maybe you will recieve it in a few days...good luck

Hi I hope you guys can help us we sent our pr application November 30th last year, I phone up to check the status today and the recorded message said "application received April 4th 2011" what does this mean , haven't slept since our application please help , Matt
