Eligibility passed a few months ago. Im inland and based in BC. So I dont get PPR, its COPR. I dont know how long does it take to pass my daughter's medical.
We have recently had our PR medicals, our son aged 9 has high functioning autism, he attends our local school in canada but is behind with his reading and writing and gets assistance.
The question is the IRCC have asked the GP who gave us our medicals further questions to ask, we provided a letter from his GP back home in uk to say he is high functioning and not on any medication, he is calling next week to speak to me about this, has anyone had this, what kind of questions were you asked.
Does that mean that temporary resident applications who have children with autism will be accepted as well?
Hi, I've been reading this post because we are applying for Study and Open Work Permit and have a teen with autism. We have just passed medicals and they resqueted a full profile of our son with various items like future predictions of independent living and working, hazard for society or himself and stuff like that. I don't how good the predictions will be for him to work and live alone but he's never been on drugs and he's social just not super talkative but can speak and write. He is behind in his learning cuz in my country there is not much help for that but he is able to do his things, eat, wash take a shower and so on. Do you think this will be an issue for temporary residence visa? Most if not all the costs of his education have been on us always and it will be the same in Canada so why would he be deemed too much of a burden? People with autism are supposed to be accepted since 2018 with the rule changing right?
Its being 12 months since applied and everything is passed and next final decision and still waiting for my daughter's medical(final component)
Very stressful.

As per last update in Feb, the next is final decision and waiting for daughter's medical (final component). So my work permit will be expiring in end of April. Should I extend the work permit? I dont understand why they are taking so long.
