Hello!
I am a bit confused about the photo requirements

I have searched thru the forum but didnt come across an appropriate answer to the question what are the requirements for digital photos if I would like to apply for citizenship online. I've only seen an answer that I just need to submit a receipt along with the photo.

And it is mentioned there, that "If the photographs are digital, they must not be altered in any way"
So I guess the requirements for the digital photo size are the same as for printed one like: "The frame size must be 50 mm x 70 mm (2″ x 2 ¾″)", etc.

I dont have digital copy of photos as i was thinking to apply by mail before so can i scan photo that i have physically and upload ?

Is this a bug with the Physical Presence Calculator and CIT-002 (for Adults) document?

I plan to submit my application on 2021-06-26. The Physical Presence Calculator states my eligibility period is from 2016-06-26 to 2021-06-25. However, on the CIT-002 document Q9 (a) when I enter 2021-06-25 for the "To" date, the "From" date is auto-populated as 2016-06-25. There's no way to change it.

i.e. the "From" dates for the Calculator and CIT-002 document aren't matching. The CIT-002 always appears to count one additional day compared to the Calculator.

That's how it has been since October 2020. So, its fine. As long as you enter the same end date from the physical presence calculator on your citizenship application, you should be good to go.

The guidelines have changed a bit since that post was written.

You don’t have to sign or date your physical presence calculation (your printout of the Online Physical Presence Calculator or form CIT 0407).

Always refer to the instruction guide on the IRCC website to keep up with the latest changes.

When completing the application it states need a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 or Higher. Where do I take this test?

Online it states either IELTS or CELPIP... which one is better? And I only need to do a Speaking and Listening test as per the message below..

You need to reach level 4 or higher to apply for citizenship. We use your documents to determine if you have reached this level for speaking and listening in English or French.

If you have proof that your secondary / post secondary education was in English, you don't have to take the test.

Did you or do you attend a secondary or post-secondary program in English or French?
The program can be in or outside Canada.

If you did, send a copy of proof that you completed or are attending a program with your application. Proof can be your:

• diploma
• transcript
• certificate

Your proof must be in English or French. If it’s in another language, you must also send a certified English or French translation. The translation should show that the language of instruction of the program was English or French

No, I don't think so... maybe in school/college 10+ years ago and I don't think I have the certification/certificates anymore.

I am fine to do the Online Speaking and Listening Test but just need to know which one to take.

If it's just Speaking and Listening does the CELPIP work better as they have a test just for that?

Also, if you provided a test result with your PR application (IELTS or Celpip), you can submit those test results as well (even if they are expired).

If you don't have that as well, then you can take the following :

Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program – General Test (CELPIP-G) or General (Listening and Speaking) Test (CELPIP-G LS) and you have to get 4 or higher (up to 12) in listening and speaking

OR

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) training test and you have to get 4.0 or higher in speaking and 4.5 or higher in listening

In what situation would someone have to take the Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking test? I see it being discussed online but I don't see it as a requirement when looking at the requirements for Citizenship as I only see Speaking and Listening.

That would be when you are applying for PR.

Some Work Permits and PR require a sufficient score in all 4 categories.
