The application is short and kinda straightforward, there aren't many documents required.
Typically, you'll need a proof of language, so pass a language test now if you don't already have one, and check the police certificate requirements, although I'm not sure if you can use one you got 9 months before the application.
Apart from that, if you filed your taxes every year you were in Canada and kept a logbook of your entries and exists from the country, you're already as ready as can be.
Hello everyone, I applied for family citizenship through paper application(2 applicants), applicant 1 status: background check in progress since August 2023(waiting for security clearance), applicant 2 status: everything completed except oath - not started. My question is, will applicant 2 gets oath ceremony before applicant 1, or does IRCC hold the applicant 2 application until applicant 1 clears all requirements? your answers are appreciated

Hello,
I have a few questions as I gear up to file for my families Canadian Citizenship:
While the family has completed the mandatory 1095 days in Canada as PR, we moved to the US and now are living here. When I submit the application, is there a 'need' for me to have a Canadian address that can be attributed to me or can I use a relatives address( in Canada) for communication?
Do I need to be physically present in Canada when I submit the Citizenship application or can I do that while in the US with the physical presence calculator reflecting the same?
Would it matter if the address I have on the health card is from a different province while the address I would look at citing on the application be from a different province?
1) Yes. Employment and Address history needs to be continuous. You can say Unemployed and attach a letter of explanation with your application(Explaining the situation as above)
2) What does it say on your PR card? Like for me first line is surname(family name) and second line is given name.
3) You need to mention that but I am not sure how the form will behave(Accepting work+studies for same period)
Hello,
Just a clarification, do I only need to upload the digital copy (front pic) and fill in information about where the photo was taken and I don’t need to upload any stamp or back of the picture?
I'm applying online.
Calling all the experienced applicants to help me with the following questions:
5 year eligibility period: July 3, 2019 to July 2, 2024
Identification: We have recently moved and none of us (me and my spouse) have any of our ids like drivers licenses in the current address, can we provide utility bill as address under optional documents?
Residence & Tax>Immigration and citizenship status
* Do you currently, or have you ever held immigration or citizenship status in a country or territory other than Canada (this includes your country of birth)?
As per the paper application guide, we must declare all types of visa(including visitor) we have held in our lifetime. Since there is no option to upload all the pages with visa stamps, should we upload these as one document separately with some stamps in the expired passport too? Should I also include copies of all the study and work permits in the same document?
Also, my spouse travelled to Europe on Type C Schengen visa - Short stay visa in 2010 and 2012 (the stays were not max 30 days long). Should we also include this in all pages of the passport under optional documents?
Physical Presence:
My study visa is out of the 5 year eligibility period mentioned above? Should I still include it or list them separately under optional documents?
What is considered as the "Date you received the status" my temporary work permit (PGWP) says 09-April-2019 however, work visa stamp in the passport says 06-May-2019?
My spouse had an implied status, should we mention it separately or the the "Do you apply to extend your status" suffices it? Should we explain this in letter of explanation under optional documents?
What's the difference between electronic and paper citizenship certificate?

A query regarding the query 'During your 5-year eligibility period, did you have a valid temporary resident status before becoming a permanent resident?' I came on a Work Permit which had a validity from March 2020 to December 2021. My Organization proactively filed for a Work Permit extension in Feb 2021 and I got a new Work Permit which had validity from March 2021 till Feb 2023. I got my PR in November 2021.
I want to know that do I have to mention the details of all these Work Permits in this query? If yes, should I say that my Status was valid from March 2020 till 28 Feb 2021 and then again from 1st March 2021 till Nov 2021 when I got my PR? Your help here is highly appreciated.
Thanks.
