Hello guys
I need advice please!
After the cancellation of my application about my medical now CIC have sent me a letter regarding my background check asking me to provide evidence of my civil status because I was in common law for a while in canada and they still have me listed as Common Law (see extract below). Problem is I have no idea what kind of documentation or evidence they are expecting and I dont want to screw up because of that! This is ridiculous because I did mention my historical in my application...anyhow. If you have any suggestion I will be grateful. By the way I called CIC the lady told me any type of proof is fine but I dont trust them thats why im asking to you lol
Extract from the letter:
"Client Information: Please provide documentation/evidence of your civil status, as we have you listed as both "Single" and "Common-Law" to XXXX XXXX in our records. This information is required to further process your application. If you are common-law, please provide a photocopy of their passport picture page. If you have a common-law partner who is not Canadian, we will require further information to follow."

I think the only proof of not being in common law is your statement along with some dates of when it ended. It would be easier to proof that you are in common law
Can I ask those whose apps were reopened what was the process of re-opening. I mean my app was cancelled on Aug 24th. I sent CSEs on Aug 25th. I received two messages from CIC - one saying "Please be advised your email has been forwarded to the appropriate person for action. You will be contacted further in due course. " and the second one saying "Please be advised your application is being re-opened. Notification will be sent to you via your “My CIC” account in due course. ". My MyCIC still reads "cancelled as incomplete". It has already been a month since I received those e-mails.
So I wanted to ask if you also received an e-mail saying your app was being reopened? When was it actually reopened in MyCIC after you received the message?
Thanks.

I would send CSE + try to send it via the system (once it allows you to do so).

Hi Ben,
I emailed CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca after 3 days of no response for technical error reports via CSE, they replied and gave me 1 week to upload through CSE all additional doc.but still they didnt fixed, and the next day I received RFRF request payment and ask me to send through CSE again.
Good luck for all of us
