I don't think so. Montreal is as quick as the other except Scarborough. For my wife whole process took 8 months (from 12th June to 20th Feb.). should be added, she received her AOR by mail. The good point about Montreal is that in most case, they organize oath with test in same date.

I logged into E-Cas this morning to find that it has updated to say:"We sent you a notice on February 25, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 24, 2015 at 8:03 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us."
I have not received an official letter yet. I also received an ATIP report yesterday indicating they had not yet started large portions of my application so they must have done a lot of work between when the report was generated and today.
Many June applicant who received e-mail AOR caught in mysterious delay while Oct applicant is receiving test dates. CIC processing approach is frustrating..
You should hear from them in few days. I noticed when the file is transferred in a week after in process, the file is not actually transferred fully. It takes a while for all background/criminal checks to complete before local office can schedule for next step.
