Hi all,
We just got our RFV email yesterday .

I have a question though, I am currently in implied status waiting for my postgraduate work permit while my study permit has already expired. Can we do landing before I get the work permit ? Or I should have a valid permit before landing ?

You won't need any permit any longer
Though I suggest that you should inform CIC to cancel you work permit application as soon as you land.

Congrats! Then you are in the next round of PPR, hopefully next week.

My ECAS also turned to "Decision Made" today, but I have not yet received any emails from CIC. It is weird because today is a Saturday and I checked my status Friday night: it was still "In Process"! It seems like CIC is now working on weekends too

I received my passport from Canada Post yesterday (05/01/2016) at about 8:30 pm local time in Newfoundland.

I intend to do in-canada landing and will update you on the process.

Hey! How long it took in total for the visa stamping? I mean how many days since they received your passport and then you receiving it back?

Thanks lava, it seems that those people who have already landed don't have access to ECAS anymore.

Hi Folks,

I did my landing today Jan. 15 at the local CIC office. It was smooth and the officer did not ask for Bank statement or anything related to settlement funds.
All we chatted about was possible spelling mistakes in names and other profile details, shortly after the officer stamped my passport and COPR.
I took photographs with just in case they asked. But she only collected them as 'back up' and not really compulsory.

The whole thing took just 20 mins. Most it involved chatting about other things like economy, my professional inclinations etc (just meet and greet type thing).
