I meant that he wanted to land before traveling. So, he called the call center to make sure if he comes back without PR card, he can enter Canada but the call agent advised him that he may not be permitted to come to Canada without PR card or traveling document. The reason is that when you land, your immigration visa and student visa are voided and you cannot use them anymore. Therefore, he first traveled and when he came back, he did his landing at airport.
I sent my passport out last night. I have a plan to visit my family (going to my country end of August). o you think better I do landing right after I receive my passport or I wait till go to my country and do landing back from there? Thank you!
BTW, I received my work permit, too. Do you know if I can use work permit VISA to go to my country and back to Canda?

Guys I am finally going to the border tomorrow (Friday) to land. I was just wondering about the documents I should take with me: Passport+COPR papers+study permit+bank statement showing the last 2 months. Anything else I should take with me? like photos? or any other documents? Apreciate your quick responses as I should leave in about 12 hours

It's better to get an employment letter from your university indicating the amount of RA and TA you are earning and the length of your contract . Some officers at borders ask for employment letter not bank statement and it's better to have it just in case.

They may ask you to return all of your study and work permits, because you do not need it any more.
