Hello everyone,

To those who wants to know the reason I got denied was because I only got 64 points. I got a low score in English test. I want to make an appeal (if possible) so I can take another English test if they would consider. I took my english test last 2003 and my consultant don't even tell me to get a new one. I'm still waiting for Atty. Cohen and his staff to reply my inquiry to them. Hope they answer my inquiry asap.

I believe that Cohen is going to tell you that you are about a year too late. Skilled workers have one avenue (ignoring reconsideration by the program manager) that is leave to appeal to the Federal Court, which has to be submitted within 60 days of the overseas decision.

Since you already had a lawyer, give it a shot, don't give up easily.

Cheers

Mezo

I think it is a little too late for appeal. I would advise you to consider either the Quebec, Provincial Nominee Program or Employment route instead of wasting your money or better still chasing the wind.

Explore alternatives and God will prosper you.

I am no expert, but with all the posts that have been made on this whole forum, I haven't heard of anyone who won an appeal with a score of 64. They just don't seem to budge from 67. Hopefully, if it has been 7 years since you took your IELTS, you have been continuing to improve your English and will have no difficulty getting more than the 3 points you require. First of all, check that your occupation in the list of NOC 29.

Hello there,

fellow members angdyosa and barsindoo suggesting to try provincial nominee, please let me know how they process andqualifications needed? How long will it be? Thanks and happy weekend

You might be right, however our friend here got a lawyer already, who should advise him truthfully on best course of action.

Cheers

Hi I was also denied last May 2010 beacause of late submission of my ielts report. I am under FSW and last September 2010 I reapplied and thanks God I was accepted and got my file number last February 2, 2011. Dont loose hope. Reapply and pray for it.

Well done mate. I appreciate you share your experience with us. It's so great to see such persistence to get the right back.

Would it be possible to start a new thread to explain how you appealed and what went good and what not. This will be of great help and inspiration to many.

Thanks.

He reapplied with fresh application. Not appeal to the old one.
