Hi,
i have some queries , clarification highly appreciated.as i want to apply for APEGS.
1) Do Apegs is sufficient for all PNPs or individual provincies require their own licensure ?
2) WES received my transcripts on 04th april 2018 and here Evaluation in progress as Document-by-Document, do i require to mail them now itself to evaluate Course-by-course ?
3) what if WES evaluates Document-by-Document(if report already received), what is the next step.do we required to again send transcripts ? also payment ?
1. Not sure. Haven’t don’t PNP.
2. You should probably wait for document-document evaluation to complete. Upon completion, you can upgrade to course-course. You don’t need to mail anything for upgrade. You can do it online. Also it is fast. I got my course-course within a week of upgrading.
3. You don’t need to send transcripts again. Of course you need to pay for the extra course evaluation work but it is lot cheaper than original document-document evaluation.

No exam anymore, i was approved EIT with 36 months credit of experience equivalent to my 8 yrs working in my country
Hi Wayne, were you asked to submit work experience report? If so, can you please share at [email protected] ? Is the supervisor or mentor signature mandatory in it ? As I don't want to disclose this in the current company at this moment.

Hi Wayne and others,
I got my PR and landed in Alberta last year, and I started working as a project engineer last September. And because I don't have P.Eng yet I am titled as Specialist till I get my P.Eng.
I have done and received WES course by course report but I haven't applied yet for P.Eng.

So, my situation is I hold a bachelor degree and +10 years of experience and in September I will complete 1 year of Canada experience.

I need your help and recommendation on which is better for me to apply for P.Eng. Is it APEGA, or APEGS???!!! noting that I am currently in Alberta.

Thanks in advance for your help/advice.

Hello ,

Please check the below information for me and guide me accordingly.

I have Bachelors of Engineering degree with specialization in Information Technology. (Wes ECA+ Course by Course) completed. I have 5 years and 3 months of working experience as a web developer.

My education and work experience, both are from India.

As per SINP OID list - My NOC is 2175. And I should apply for CIPS.

But I have bachelors degree in engineering.
So , SINP officer suggested me to apply for APEGS through international engineering category to qualify for SINP Application.

However, I couldn’t find any relavant course for self assesment in APEGS website.
I tried checking with computer engineering and software engineering. But for both of them, my actual syllabus is not matching for couple of subjects. In this situations what should i do?

Please guide. Or Provide relavant soultions.

Do i need to go for APEGS or CIPS?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone with Bachelor of Engg degree in any discipline other than computer or IT or software and experience of 10+ years in software??

How does APEGS assess the degree then?

Hi Guys, The EIT Application doesn't take that long, it took my application 2 and half weeks and it was approved. I don't know what happened but I guess I was just a little lucky. Also as a rule of thumb now, most provinces will certainly prefer you start as an EIT before applying for PENG and u need some experience within the country and then u can apply for PENG, before u could apply directly for PENG if u have some experience but everything has changed this days. So wishing all you gentle men and ladies the best in your application,.
Please how did you do it. Did you submit work experience report. I just applied but don't know how to continue.

Hello Everyone,

I'm planning to start my APEGS application. I already have my ECA done from CES (University of Toronto) not from WES.

Can I proceed through WES to start my APEGS process as i'm unable to find any information of APEGS on CES website? Thanks in advance!

Can I ask a question?

I've submitted all docs and now my application is under review. I'm afraid of being assigned a deficiency? I am mechanical engineer and have more than 5 years of experience, but my diplomas both bachelor and master might not be sufficient and I dont really intend or have a will to take additional courses and moreover pay for them.

How good were you at academic assessment? Didn't they assign any gap?
Hi,
could u please confirm how much time they took to update ur wes report status in profile after submission of WES report to apegs.
Regards

1. Have you ever given FE exam? If so, APEGA will not assign confirmatory exam. However they will give you provisional license which is equivalent to EIT until you earn 1year of Canadian work experience.

For APEGS, you can use your masters degree or 7+ years of work experience to waive confirmatory exams. APEGS will accept US work experience and considers equivalent to Canadian work experience.

2. APEGA online application does ask for TOEFL or other acceptable documents for English language competency. You can even write an essay/letter to prove your English language abilities.

APEGS online application requires the same. If you have any education from US or other English speaking countries, you won’t need to give English language tests like TOEFL or IELTS (academic).
Hi Z0mbie, if i apply for EIT from APEGS & i get a job in Alberta or decide to settle there, will I be able to transfer my EIT license? Basically my question is are EIT licenses transferable?
2nd question: Just to confirm something that I think you already addressed. APEGA gives EITs FE exam as confirmatory exams but APEGS doesn't?
