Should be 2-3 weeks from now looking at the current trend, but don't get your hopes up because you never know. IRCC is insane and very unpredictable. Regardless, IRCC is trying to finalize newer apps within 6 months so 2022 will be better than the past couple years.

Getting the 1st GU is a huge sign in the positive direction so hold on to that. Ukraine situation could add 2-3 weeks to security checks but shouldn't be much longer.

And when was your last GU? Not the one immediately after MEP/BIL because some persons don't consider it as GU.

I never saw my BG go "in progress".. that's what made me wonder what this GU was about because BG is still saying "we are processing". MEP/BIL was the last movement for my profile before this. I didn't notice other GUs apart from today.

Mine has been "in progress we will contact you when we start background check" since 23rd Feb. i consider that my 1st GU and not considering the one after MEP...

After waiting for 140 mins, I could get through to ircc and got the worst news ever!
