Thank you for enquiring about our apllication.Did u try calling CIC to check on it? We finally received AOR after more than a month and only after calling CIC repeatedly, at first they couldn't locate our application and said it was lost!
We have to rely on the lawyer now . anyway , i call him almost every single day to check as well as remind him . once our app passes those 45 days without news then that is the time i need to call CIC myself . hope that you get your good news so soon Janchor

We have a lawyer too, completely useless! We could see everyone else getting AOR and when we asked him, says we are within the time frame and we should not panic, complete waste of money. I wish we had done the apllication on our own, there were so many mistakes that we noticed and rectified in time.

Hey i also applied through lawyer i have send my application on 27 april 2017 received by david on 28 april but havent heard anything since then i asked my lawyer he keeps telling me to wait for 2 to 3 months till i hear anything

share with you. My application received April 12 and just received AOR June 1. Therefore, keep waiting as you have lawyer help you to follow up. Good Lucky!

Do not wait! In this year the timeframe is much shorted than your lawyer might think. Average is 19 days but mostly 25 days prevail.
May 5 recipients have begun to receive AOR and your Application had been received way before that. My suggestion to you is to call IRCC custom service and figure what's going on.
Telephone: 1-888-242-2100 (in Canada only)
Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The earlier you call the better chance to get to a human.

It's none of my business but new Sponsorship application (as of 2017) is quite straightforward and you don't need a lawyer or representative for this purpose alone. There are cases when lawyers make idiotic mistakes in the application that cause it to be returned, and as result you can do nothing about it. I would prefer to blame myself for making a mistake than a professional who's paid not not.
If I were you, I'd fire that lawyer who provides me with an untruthful information (asking for refund), withdraw Representative form and do everything myself instead.
Oh okay..I dont have a UCI number...my lawyer mailed the app out on March 7th and I kept calling to check and see if they recieved it but they keep saying no...so that is definitely not a good sign.
