My background check is in progress today, interestingly I haven't received any email. Just logged in to mycic and found that. My AOR is 3rd May.

As per current trend it usually takes a month to get PPR!!!

By the way, has anyone been able to get GCMS note in the last few days? I applied one on 9th August, haven't received anything till today, sent email and didn't hear back anything yet. Is there anyone who is in similar position or have any suggestion on what to do? Appreciate your help.

I also applied my gcms last August 5 and yet to receive mine as well.

So... I have hit 4.5 months and last Monday I emailed IRCC about my application. I sent my question via CSE as my background check status has been "Not needed at this time" for 3 months. "Not needed" means they havent received my application yet so I am asking about the status of my file. And this is what I received last night (amazing response speed):

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is in process.

If further information is needed, the responsible office will contact you.

Please visit our website to see how long it may take to process your application or the online Help Centre for more information. You can search by typing keywords.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking about too!!!

Its been so quiet (compared to April AOR thread). Unfortunately no update for me at all since June 22, 2016. NOT EVEN A GHOST EMAIL.

I guess this thread will get more alive in October?
