Hi Seniors,

Just now I got an Additonal document request in myCIC where they have asked me to submit roles and responsibilities letter from my client company (bank) within 1 week or else the PR application would be rejected, whereas I had already submitted all my Pay stubs, Roles and Responsibiliteies description from my supervisor and work permit + Experience and Promotion letters of my original company (not the client) to CIC and received my AOR on 12th Sept, 2015

I am currently employed on an 5 year ICT work permit with a Indian company and working for one of their banking client here in Toronto.

Kindly help me as I am really confused what to do here

Hi Makolutus,

I would just create a new letter with more detailed information about your roles and responsibilities. Make sure that the roles and responsibilities are similar to those listed in the description for your NOC code: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp#find

I'd also send them a cover letter explaining that you already provided this but that you are including some more information.

If they specifically asked for getting it from BANK in Canada, they probably want to ensure that you are actually performing the same duties here that qualify your NOC.

Is it too hard to get it from client when it could be the difference in getting PR vs not?

If I were in your shoes, I would try explaining this to the bank I am working at, providing them with a copy of what my actual employer gave me and will get something from them.

If that was not possible, I would try writing the best explanation (possibly including proof of refusal from client to issue any such thing) and more detailed letter from original employer.

P.S. Your original explanation is ambiguous - i.e. "from your supervisor". If the supervisor is from the current client i.e. Bank it should have been on bank's letterhead. If it was from original employer in home country, then again this is not CIC is asking for.
