Ok.
I passed medicals yesterday, and today I checked and I could access ECAS. I have no idea if I have been able to access it yesterday either, as I didn't know what it was before yesterday.
It says:
1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 14, 2015.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 14, 2015. (this is a lie! It was on 15th! I have their AOR dated on 15th)
3. We started processing your application on September 23, 2015.
Now, I have a question. What is this, and how does it help me understand what situation my application is in?
I haven't send my dependant's FBI check. But I included all the documents showing that I will receive it in mid october. Does this probably mean they agreed to give us some time? Or do they decide after this?
well if u have stayed in there for more that 6 month then u have to have it in any case. So the best thing is to get this done earliest possible. as per my understanding ur application should be on Review of eligibility - Review in Progress, so ur not through to that stage yet.

Yes. I can guess this as my application is at the same stage where in its under process for eligibility. Medical and Background , PCC starts afterwards.
This is referred to as ghost email... everyone says its a good sign and usually means someone is working on the application. ..and an update is usually expected to reflect within 24hrs , if applicable....though many times its possible that there are no chamges really..just Visa officers going through the file.
Seems to be that way..I've got ghost emails on weekends...and I have read stories of several people having maximum movement (real updates, ghost emails, even PPRs) on weekends.
