It says not started.
Funny thing is in my RPRF letter says your application been found eligible. I've seen another case like this rejected though.
Looks, like Harper government wanted to screw new government by bulk-dumping on them a bunch of apps to process two days after elections so they will fail the refugee processing.

Dear flk,
Thanks for your information about work permit.
I also have a question about closed work permit. If someone quits his job before the expiration date of a closed work permit, his work permit will be invalidated and he has to leave Canada? or he can stay in Canada legally but not working.
You are most welcome Masin. No it is not invalidated (you should be able to find this in CIC faq's too). You can technically stay in Canada and work remotely for a Non Canadian employer. Depending upon your province and how much EI (employment insurance) you paid previously, you might apply for unemployment benefits and get some.
The only problem you might face is - if you leave the country mean while and then come back and upon entering Canada, CBSA sees a valid work permit, but discovers (either you tell them, or they found the need to validate if you are actually working) that you cannot work, then it might be an issue. I don't know what they would do in this case. Because they suspect you would work illegally or something since you can no longer work legally.
Other than that, you are perfectly fine to stay in Canada till the expiry of wp. Even your health care issued based upon work permit is also valid.
Wondering if my case is progressing well. Look forward to hearing from anyone with similar timelines.
