Hi,

I have received my ITA 2-weeks before and submitted documents on 21st Sep.2015.
I got AoR (e-APR) and waiting for the process to get started.

Hope others who got AoR in September are doing good.
I would request them to share their timelines and we will work-it out by sharing our knowledge/experience.

Rest of the application is in same status as before.

Its quite strange hoe things are different for different applicants. In my case, I never received any notification for my medicals passed, which happened within 3 days of my filing the documents. However my background check has still not started, which usually starts on the same day of a day or two after the medicals have passed. I did not even get any notification about access to ECAS, I just tried, and found that my application could be seen there.

Sometimes this confuses me and at other times I feel no news is good news.

Any one else in the same boat?

this is such a dumb question i know and i sorry for asking but
1) what is ecas?
It's a site where you can track your application process.
2) what does it mean when someone says 2 3 or 4 lines what do these mean?
When you login into ECAS you see the application process line by line i.e number of lines.
3) how do you know if you have ecas are you alerted in your my cic?
You just keeping checking the website till you are able to login with your information, there is no email saying anything about ECAS access.

I received two ghost mails indicating that my application was updates, but upon logging on to the CIC website, there was nothing there. I had no idea about the ECAS, until I found a link on the forum and decided to see if my application details were there. To my surprise they were. My background check has not started yet, either CIC is going too slow, or do random things for different applications.

Review of Eligibility: Review in Process
Review of Medical Results: Passed (Changed 22nd September)
Review of Submitted documents: No additional documents are needed at this stage
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
A Background check is Needed: In Progress (Changed 22nd September
A Final Decision has been reached: Not Started

Nope. Nothing is changed in my profile. No ECAS access as well.
I applied under CEC inland (LMO).
