Meanwhile I'm seeing thread of people waiting more than six months for PR. There is someone who applied on September 2015!!! 18 months! . Feel really terrible. What could be the delay? Someone forgot or extensive checking?

It's not unusual. In fact, we always see this type of status for majority of the applicants. "Next step is to conduct a background check" status shown to those applicants who submitted their RCMP fingerprints along with eAPR. Btw, RCMP is not mandatory. Some of the applicants proactively submit it to avoid any further delay during the process.

You are on right track and just with for next update and most likely it will be Not applicable.

I submitted the RCMP with eAPR, but I have the same status with him

Just confused on seeing my BG changes:

AOR 31st Jan:
Background check status change from time to time:

From 31 Jan to 07 Feb it was "Not needed at this time"
On 02 March it went to "Not Started"
On 07 March it changed to "Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check." (Think that is when CIC did some changes to their online portal)
[And on same 07 March, I received Sch A request]
[Submitted the Sch A form on 08 March] So,
On 08 March it changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information"
And on same day 08 March it again went to "Not applicable."

Till then no changes to my profile.

Not sure what's going on ???
Not sure if my file has been transferred to my LVO ?
And not sure if my R10 and 11.2 checks have been completed ?

I guess your PPR is around the corner... I have seen such changes in couple of cases here that's y I think so...

I have had no update in my profile since medicals passed on 2nd dec (AOR 1st dec). My PCC was valid till end of january. is that going to be an issue for BG? do i need to get another PCC and upload it?
Please someone help me i am very nervous now as 3.5 months have passed without any update in my profile.
