Hi guys, been following this forum for a while now, but 1st post, got a question regarding police clearance.
I received my AOR on the 22nd of Jan, 2017 under the CEC, I am currently out the country, back in my home country due to work permits expiring etc.
My medicals are marked as passed as of the 27th feb, 2017 and my background check reads: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Any ideas on time frames and what are the chances that I will be asked for an RCMP police check? I lived in Canada for about 7 and a half years from 2008 - early 2016 as a student and then as on a work permit.
Just want to cover my bases in case they ask for one, but I don't want to seek one out unnecessarily.
You can get it for free from any police station. Just say need for immigration purposes. This is what a user here did. In that case there is no cost to getting it done early. If required you can immediately scan it and send
I'm wearing the same shoes as you. Single applicant, graduated from college here, been working going on 3 years now. Plus I left my home country only after 6 months of turning 18. And have only been to the US a couple times, one to visit family and another to go to 6 flags lol . I don't see what's taking so long.

Hello everyone!
We have just received an LMIA (applied for in November lol!) and want to add it to our application. Does anyone know what documents we may need to provide. I'm guessing we let them know through a CSE?
Do not worry. It takes a bit for provinces to confirm their PNP (for example Ontario december spreadsheet came mid of February).
They only tranfer files to LVO after they complete that check. So your file is still at CIO. thats all

Since you haven't claimed points for a LMIA and you got AFTER your AOR, I don't think you need to tell them... But if you really want to then my suggestion is to phone the call center and ask them, they'll then tell you what you should do.

I think you need to use google hangouts to call that number from Outside Canada and you must not say you're calling from outside canada or they will tell you to call your LVO.

Friends I have also received the same information from CIC. So what does it means? Did they started with my application which was submitted on 29 Jan 2017. Or just an another version of modified information.
If some expert can answer it, will be appreciated.

So i did my RCMP upload on Feb 28, no status change since. Yesterday i emailed them for VO and here is the reply.
Dear Sir/ Madam,
Please note that your application is being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa.
Our office confirms that your application is at our office and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.
So i am wonder if R10 is already passed since application already forwarded from CIO. Am i correct ?
I got the passport request today. After Medical passed update there was not a single update on my profile not even related BG. BG did not change at all. Its still not needed state.
