Well I don't think you should worry.. I realize you don't want to be under implied status so you tried to get a head start on your BOWP, but my guess is that as soon as the initial checks are done for you your BOWP will be approved. Just hang on in there for a while longer

Yea well not like I have any other choice other then waiting anyways.
It's just, I don't know how complex it will be to continue working on implied status and if there is anything I have to do to restore status when BOWP decision is made.

I was on implied status for a few months when I was applying for my PGWP. I understand how frightening that can be, but I assure you there are no problems with it. Since you applied before your current permit expires you are permitted to work until you hear back. If your BOWP is approved then you just continue to work like nothing happened, but if it gets rejected then you need to stop immediately.
Here is the actual regulation if you want to read up about it. http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-186.html
I think you fall under R186(u)
186 A foreign national may work in Canada without a work permit
...
(u) until a decision is made on an application made by them under subsection 201(1), if they have remained in Canada after the expiry of their work permit and they have continued to comply with the conditions set out on the expired work permit, other than the expiry date;

Hello. I just got my AOR. So I guess I'm officially in the club now ;D
There was so much anxiety about getting the ITA, arranging docs etc. etc. , I cannot handle any more anxiety about status updates on my application and stuff. I'm just gonna relax and switch off for at least 3-4 months before I check what's going on with it (unless it gets rejected before that. Lol!)
