So, got an email today from cic that my application has been updated.

Found the following changes:

Review of submitted documents: No additional documents are needed at this time
A background check is needed: Not started

Medical still says "Not needed at this time".

My AOR was 7th Jan and medical was same date. I was expecting medical to pass by now.

Anyhow, at least some progress is there. ;D

You are supposed to get an email, but there seems to be a 24 hour delay. The change occurs first, and 24 hours later you get the email.

You get an email saying that your application has been updated. However, this email takes a long time - a few hours. You might have already checked that update and then 4 to 5 hours later, you will get the notification email.

I was just looking through the trackers for Dec and Jan, I realized there has been very few updates for Inland applicants especially CEC. I think Ottawa is swamped and with the number of ITAs issued this month, it is really scary how long this process might take for us :'(.
