CEC inland, BG changed from IP to Not Applicable (see my timeline on the left).
Based on recent experience of other applicants, can anyone tell me how long probably it may take for BG to be back to IP and after that how long for PPR?
The thing is, I need to figure out how to extend the status of my family in Canada. I am on IEC and based on that my family cannot apply for any permits. I don't know if we are stil eligible for BOWP. My old closed wp as well as my spouse and kid visitor permits expire at end of March. I am not actually using that wp and am working for a new employer using my IEC wp that will expire in 10 months.

You can get a BOWP. I'm not sure if this allows your family too - though I think you can renew a visitors visa if needed! From what I've seen, anywhere from 2 days to a week or so after it goes IP again before PPR.
It relates to security and background check verifications.
It has to do with, mostly law enforcement and investigations.
Meaning your background checks and security are ongoing, despite not started mentioned for security.
Hello every one, just a quick question. I'm applying inland but my husband is living back in my home country. Can he come to Canada while our application is in progress (he has visitor visa)?

Thanks very much. So you think the fact that I have an IEC wp that will NOT expire in 4 months or less (the requirement of being eligible for BOWP) is not a problem and I still can apply for BOWP for me? Then at the same time I can apply for visitor permits for my family?
The visitor permits are expiring at the end of this month. Is it not too late now to apply to renew them?
or can we go to US border and get new visitor permits for them there?

Sorry! I didn't read you said you had 10 months left. Unfortunately you can only apply for one with 4 months less. Hopefully you will get PR before your WP ends!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
But the fact that my spouse and child are in PR process and have less than a month left on their visitor permit doesn't qualify them for BOWP (for my spouse) or at least renewing visitor permits?
What's the requirement of being eligible to renew visitor permits while you are in Canada??
Just to let everyone know that today we received our COPR and have 30 days to submit our passports. Bit stressful because every bone in my body is wanting to send them now, but we are travelling to Canada on Sunday for a fact finding mission. Never mind will submit them as soon as we are back. Cannot believe it guys and wish you all a speedy PR.
By the way, the only update I ever got on my account was an additional document request and passed medicals. My BC never went to IP so it goes to show, none of us really know how close we are to the big day.
