Did cic mention anywhere on website that applicant MUST get PCC from consulate if residing in canada? it doesn't make sense they rejected his file due to this reason.
CIC hasn't mentioned anywhere online, but again there are soo many things CIC website is unclear on; and the call centre people, just repeat the shitty transcript back to you from website and there are no real answers to these except hypothesis, and trust me its better to be safe than sorry in such situations.

I just got a request to upload the IMM 5475. The form looks straightforward enough, but I have a couple of questions
1. What's the "Name of Office where application was submitted" -> Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada?
2. Why did I get this form? I filled out the application myself, didn't use a lawyer or any representative. I did have my wife listed as a Designated Individual, so is this form merely a way to double check that?
3. Is this a standard request that many people get, or is this unusual? I searched the forum and only found a few responses.
i have submitted PCC that i have got from INDIA from POLICE commissioner office . IS it something to worry about
as somebody was saying if u r in canada u have to get PCC for consultate . does it mean PCC from INDIA police commissioner office wont work i m bit worried :

It doesn't specify any time-period as i have been living in INDIA for the same address as mentioned on my passport .
it says this is to certify that Harpreet Singh s\o ----------- resident of --------- address falling with the jurisdiction of this .......police station have nthing adverse against him criminally in the police record during his stay at the above mentioned address
then date of issue stamp my photo stamp and sign of police commissioner and file no unique id contact info for office

you are good , no issues with it the one you get from consulate from canada is pretty much similar to this you Got here , with no specific dates of your stay in india .
