Hey all. My passport is on it's way back from Ottawa and I'm planning to flagpole the border soon. Has anyone done this recently? my friends who have done it last year had no problems and said it was faster than going to the inland border services office and even though I won't technically be trying to enter the US, I'm worried about their new record of being incredibly huge douchebags at the border. What's the process like to flagpole? what should I expect. I'm in Vancouver, BC if anyone has any experience with the nearby border crossings. Is it possible to do it at night?
I just called CIC, my aor is 9 Feb, and its almost 1 month since uploading RCMP. The agent told me my file has not started to review yet.
No background checking, no security checking yet. So heart broken.... In that case, is anyone knows approx. how long I still have to wait for ppr?
Dear All,
I just got some information and wanted to clarify it with you guys.
Some people on this forum on other threads are saying that uploading ECA is mandatory along with educational documents. Is it true? Specifically those who have got PPRs did you guys upload your ECA reports? Please clarify me so that i upload them now.

You should upload ECA though not mandatory. Most of them are uploading as there were few cases where they were asked later on. No harm in being safe by uploading it.
I have just called them after so many tries, the agent didn't give me a detailed status. She only said processing time for EE is 6 months or less and when I asked her about some details, She said medicals and criminality are passed and they are working (on some aspects of security) anyone knows what does this mean? I am FSW Inland applicant Feb 9th, however, she told me I am Feb 10th!

If i remember it correctly then ECA is to be uploaded by those applicants who are claiming points for education and the education is not from a Canadian educational institution. Say if you have 2 Bachelor Degrees A and B. Degree A is from a Canadian university and Degree B is from a non-Canadian university. In this case, you need ECA for Degree B if you want to claim points for this degree.
