After R10, for A11.2 and security checks, case analyst and case officer reviews the case one by one. Case analyst analyze the case and give the feedback to case officer.
During these checks, background status gets changed to in progress.
According to me, there is no IP1 or IP2, saying it after reading number of gcms notes.
Just refer to my previous msg, you'll be able to find ur application status. If it has been changed to IP twice then it is with the case officer's queue.
I will create a watsapp group as well so that we can all track our progress in the application and hopefully we all get PR soon. Please refrain from sending your number directly on the forum, you can inbox me or I will send you the invite link when the group is up.
let's all help each other and share timelines here.

There is no actual IP 1 and IP 2 by CIC. It is just to understand that IP 1 is the first time BG changes to ' In process' and after that it changes to "Not Applicable' and then it changes again to 'In process' which is considered as IP 2.

That is correct. However, it is not consistent with what prashantduggal has posted.
I believe the original post is based GCMS notes while we generally talk about what actually happens in our CIC profile. For me, my application went from "Not Needed" to "In progress" and then last night it changed to "Not applicable".
