Honestly I don't know, I spend 2 months on "in progress " for Background check because I was waiting for my PCC since the 2nd week of March (additional document requested). I am waiting for my GCMS to arrive so I can have more info for my security.

Thanks for your instant response. Would you mind sharing your notes after you receive it? Quite many friends around me who are with Sydney are stuck in Security Check now (all of us are Chinese). I just want to check if this is a standard process in Sydney office or not.

I just received my GCMS but last day updated was May 2nd. Only info sharing was passed besides eligibility, medical and Biometrics. As for security and criminality it was not started by that time because they were waiting for my PCC from back home (it took more than 3 months to be ready) but most likely I don't think they did a security screening in less than a week (last time I called IRCC to ask about my background was June 19th and they were still waiting for my pcc)
