1. Open Work Permit is required, can work full time/straight away. Your OWP is valid for the same duration as your study permit.
2. Job offer/LMO confirmation from HRSDC is not required to obtain a OWP.
3. OWP can be applied for outside/within Canada. Application/forms www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-spouse.asp

first of all i am really very very sorry for the late reply. i had a few rough days as my grandfather was hospitalized and had to stay there. so couldn't check the forum for few days.
i am so grateful that you have answered my question. thank you so much for that.
i have just received my visa today!!!!!
pls....don't mind me asking you one more question pls.
that is:
i have applied as a student dependant by filling up the TRV form mentioning in visa type: "other", "Accompanying as a spouse of a student applicant."
now, i have been issued a visa that says in visa category: "V-1 visitor". this has made me so worried as in one cic web page it says that visitors can not work.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp (check heading "working or studying in canada")
on the other hand what you have said matches exactly what they said in another page.
pls tell me that what you have said before will apply on me and not the one i have read. i must have misunderstood what they meant. pls help me pls... i am so much tensed about it. its even killing me.
thank you very much. eagerly waiting for your reply.
