HELLO people
Like to know about the required docs and procedure for student spouse dependant visa.
Also is it better off applying for visit visa first to get there and then apply for spouse work permit or
Apply for spousal dependant work permit straight from India after my partner gets the study permit?
Suggestions are very much appreciated and help us loads
I guess the best thing is to apply for both permits at the same time, why entering as a temporary resident if she can directly enter as a worker, plus you will save time for sure. When you apply for your study permit you also say that you have an accompanying family member coming with you - your spouse - and that you want to apply for an OWP (open work permit) for her. Not sure if you can do it all online, but you should take the assessment form, there you will get a list with all the required documents to do so.
To start the eligibility test just google "CIC eligibility" (I'm not allowed to post the link here) and you will get a reference code to apply online if everything goes ok, or at least a list with the documents you need to complete.
