I guess its time to take a break...... as there is no point just sitting with my laptop open all the time..... waiting and checking emails and tracking visa status every few minutes and just waiting for Visa desperately.
I am going on a trekking trip to beat the heat of Delhi ... so from 45*C straight to 15*C in Munshiyari and will be back around 11th of June.
This surely will be a welcome and relaxing break for me in all aspects and who knows the Good news might come by then! As few more people have got visas for Sep 2013 intake ... latest being sushilsrk.
Five Key Steps to Speed Up Your Study Permit Application:
1 - Apply online or through a Visa Application Centre (VAC) : Applied through VFS, New Delhi
2 - Apply early! : Applied for 26th August 2013 intake on 7th May 2013
3 - Get your medical exam and police certificates as soon as possible : Done and submitted along with visa application
4 - Make sure you submit all required documents and that your documents are complete and legible : Yes all documents as per the SPP checklist and were duly notarized copies.
5 - Ensure that you pay the proper fee : Yes exact amount paid as per VFS. $CAD 125 (Rs. 7361.00)
Even after following all these 5 steps its exactly 1 month of my application and no update....... I guess I need wait for next week as today is the last working day of this week!
5 weeks have passed and no change in status.... still "under processing"
2 weeks and no response to my 2 emails .... although i sent the emails which included all the relevant details to get a response.

Bhai - u r scaring me..i had applied on the 21st of May and had hoped that I would hear back from now, but I still havent... it is so frustrating to wait...
So my post has just crossed a viewing of 1000 + views!!
but my visa file has probably not been viewed yet by Visa officer.
Now 1 fact is clearly evident to me that no matter which stream you apply a study permit i,e SPP / GENERAL / UNIVERSITY (From INDIA only)
either the visa will be processed within 3 to 10 working days under fast track (depends on number of visa applications/ strong profile etc)
or the visa could take anywhere from 6 weeks to 10 weeks! So far i have not come across any one whose file was "under processing" for more than 10 weeks.
I also have some other positive things happening in India itself, so i am kind of prepared for any outcome.
and all this time i was under the impression that below factors could be the reason!
Factors that may delay processing
The following factors may delay the processing of your application:
missing signature on application forms
missing documentation
unclear photocopies of documents
documents not accompanied by a certified English or French translation
verification of information and documents provided
a medical condition that may require additional tests or consultations
a criminal or security problem
consultation is required with other offices in Canada and abroad
Mass walkouts by diplomats in Ottawa and at missions abroad from 5th June 2013
Diplomats are walking out at missions in London, Paris, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Hong Kong and in Brussels.
Diplomats working in immigration offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Delhi and Chandigarh — which process the most visas — will also stop working.
This means a long wait till things settle down .....
I wish they approve all pending visas in this protest rather than just stop working!
Just to be on safe side i have now started to shortlist other options in New Zealand , Ireland and a few Universities in Europe too.....
will share the updates shortly.
