Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi po, meron po ba nakareceive ng AIP sa GCKey account? 1st week ng September nagrequest po ako GCMS notes sabi refused daw, pero ngaung araw nakareceive ako ng AIP. Nakakaconfuse.

eligibility status says sa application 4 “failed”, pero application 5 po nagchange ng “review required” ung nasa gcms notes. un po ung latest, kaya sobrang confusing.

“Taking the applicant’s work history, previous education and plan of studies into account, the applicant does not appear to have a compelling enough plan to warrant this course of action for the proposed studies to be a reasonable expense. Give family ties and job prospects in the philippines and economic motives to remain in Canada, the applicant’s incentives to remain in Canada may outweight ties to applicant’s home country. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application”

And your eligibility is "Failed / Refused" as well or does it say "Passed"?

Eligibility is failed po, but today I received AIP from my GCKey account.

Hmm.. That's is an interesting case. Order GCMS notes again just to confirm that eligibility is Passed or not. Do not start classes before confirming in GCMS notes again.

Visa officer can change the decision before you are notified of it, but in your case, do not rely only on AIP because you've already noticed a refusal before getting an AIP.

I already started online classes, and I only have until friday to apply for deferment from the school. This is very frustrating.

Do you have a winter term? If yes, I'd suggest to defer it to Winter term and wait for the proper visa approval from embassy. I usually don't suggest this, but the notes entered by your VO v/s getting an AIP has created a doubt on the authenticity of your AIP. So order new notes and defer your session to next intake before its too late for refund.

Regular application po ako, currently UAE po location ko. Pero ung application ko forwarded sa philippines.

hi po, fall 2020 po ako. Classes already started na po, and ung school requested to register and attend the classes without student permit.

Okay. Just make sure you know the refund policy of school in order to get full refund.
