Hello, I don’t know how it is for people who applied online, but I handed my passport along with my documents over to VFS when I applied.

Hello can anybody help me with SOP i got rejected yesterday. But planning to re apply. I will be pursuing computer network at centennial college and im a 4 years graduate in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Can somebody help me for stronger SOP?

Hi sorry to hear about your refusal. Have you requested for the gcms notes to get further details on why you were refused? as above refusal info are only generic reasons.

Basing on above though below may be the possible concerns of the VO:

-relevance of chosen program to career goal
-chosen program may not be a progression from previous educ attainment
-current employment status/stability
-career opportunities in home country after finishing studies in canada
-weak proof of financial funds/financial stability
-either stronger ties in Canada or no/weak ties in homecountry

You may also want to post your sop here (just delete any personal/confidential info) so that others may provide tips or feedback

Can't really say if it would be better coz it can really be case to case.

Yes, I was able to get them po. First refusal was questioning why I was getting a 2 year diploma course in spite of being a college graduate and having 17 years of work experience. I answered these refusal reasons in detail in my 2nd submission, but was denied because of the same reason. Got the same VO, and they said that my study plan was "general" , even if I made it 5 pages long ☹

Yes, I indicated that I was aiming to become a digital content manager for a multinational company. I even described that it was one of the possible jobs I can get with the program.

I just receive a correspondence letter for biometrics. I did last sep 11 but they sent it just this time?

For me I received my biometrics correspondence the same time i received my approval. For others they received it prior their visa result so i think it depends on the VO

You can just make digital signature and also include the date you accomplished it and convert it to pdf file - this is what i did

I reread above and may have misunderstood your question..you already finished your biometrics however you just recently received the request to do it now, is this right? Is this your first application and is it paperbased?

NON SDS, paper based
Upfront medical- October 15
Submission of Application- October 16 (through VFS)
Biometrics- October 16 (did it on the same day as the submission to save time)

Received a message from VFS on October 16 saying that my application has been dispatched to the IRCC Office and is under process. It has been more than a week and I haven't gotten any updates since. The status on my account just says "Submitted", although I already have a biometrics number but they haven't started reviewing my eligibility or checking my medical results. Is that normal po? Does it take longer for a paper based to be processed than online? Thank you in advance for your response

Hi. Yes its normal, there are times that everything will be updated once you receive the visa result (my experience), for some they had a few updates like for their medical exam result, biometrics correspondence..prior to receiving their visa result so it may depend on the VO. Paper app may take longer as its a regular application. For online it can be faster if its via sds stream
