Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi, if you have been refused before because of your studies not being reasonable, and you decided to change your program, do you still need to address the refusal reasons in your next SOP, or make a brand new SOP from scratch? Thanks in advance!

Hi. My 2cents: If there are other refusal reasons then it may be best to address all those as well and for the change of program ensure to provide reason for changing programs. Perhaps compare the curriculum of previous chosen program vs. current and how its more relevant to future career goal.

Also, was refused twice via SDS in the Edmonton office because of non-reasonable studies. Even po if I answered reasons of refusal in my 2nd SOP I still got refused. Better po ba if magregular na lang ako to get a Manila-based VO? Thanks!

Oh sorry to hear about your refusals Were you able to get the gcms notes of your refusals?

Can't really say if it would be better coz it can really be case to case.

The minimum funds to show for you is 10k CAD, for spouse/2nd family member is 4k CAD, then 3k CAD for each additional family member. Note that above amount is good for 1 year living expenses only. Technically above amount is the minimum requirement regardless if you will take a 2 yr or more program however it may be best to show (if kaya) either the minimum or more amount good for 2 years if its a 2 year program or show the source of income for the succeeding years if you can only currently show liquid funds good for 1 year. Hello, I don’t know how it is for people who applied online, but I handed my passport along with my documents over to VFS when I applied.
