Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

8 months in the making, started fixing my papers last September 2018 and nakuha ko na study permit ko by March 2019. Will start at Capilano University (North Vancouver) by May 2019.

Help naman sana sa housing dyan. Ang mahal grabe ng rent sa area ng Vancouver, North Vancouver at Burnaby. May Filipino community ba dun na naghhelp sa mga may gantong case huhu. My mom will accompany me to Canada kasi, and ayaw namin magbayad ng 1 room each. Ang mahal sobra.

Try to search Vancouver house/room for rent sa FB groups then Join ka.

When did you exactly apply and when was it approved? Sds or regular? Share your profile naman para sa mga readers here!

Very expensive talaga sa Vancouver. But it is one of the best cities that I travelled to!

Hi. For those who have applied through SDS and sent money to Scotiabank through BDO, may I know if sending in USD possible? Or can BDO convert to CAD? Thanks.

Sa mga nagapply po via SDS, need pa rin po ba magsubmit ng financial documents kahit na meron nang GIC and fully paid na ang first year of tuition fees?

The bank will convert it for you po. Kami sa BPI po nag deposit. They converted it to CAD.

SDS route po ako yung una ko po kasi application was refused kaya try namin SDS this time.

Hi, may chances po ba ng naapprove for student visa and spouse open work permit sabay from pinas? Pano kung hindi strong ties? Tapos mag apply kami outside of pinas?

I think complicated need ko talaga maghire ng consultant. Any suggestion?

Thanks for your reply. May I add for the information of others who are in the similar phase that Chinabank and BDO only transfer in USD. Only in BPI where they transfer in CAD and the branch in Batangas requires that you are maintaing an account with them for at least 6 months prior to wire transfer. In addition, Scotiabank only receives in CAD while CIBC can receive in USD.

I'm going for the SDS route din, so compulsory na lang ba if mag provide ng financial statements? Thanks in advance
