Any university / college will always accept late arrivals due to some delay visa process.
you jus need to inform the college by mail or submitting a "Late Arrival Form"(if available).
Apart from that, nothing to worry about the delay in visa process.

Your agent is correct only when there is a rejection in visa, and you apply for CAIPS notes and then you reapply, which takes around 2 months.
In that case, you can defer your admission intake by contacting your college.
