Anybody can give idea about cost of living in Fort Mcmurray?

We got a job offer in Fort Mcmurray, so
I want to ask if anybody could give an idea on the cost of living in Fort Mcmurray?

What is the reasonable apartment cost of 1 bedroom? I tried to search but the range too wide from 1,300 ~ 3,000 and I think it is too expensive... how about transportation? and food cost?

Fort Mc is an expensive place to live. You are right, that an apartment will cost you around $1,500.00 per month, if you can find one.

Try to get extra pay to offset the higher cost of living. If you are making less that $80.000 a year, then yu would be better off in a different city. An average house will cost you $700.000.

It is very expensive,I hear about Rooms renting for 500-600 Dollars a month for a room.Some Filipinos I hear even sleep 2-3 to a room to save money.Groceries are about 20% higher.

Hi I give you some idea so it will be a big help for you.. I'm in Fort Mcmurray.. cost of living are a little bit nuts. One room with a sing bedroom will cost $700-$900 / month.
