Any update on Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot

Hi all,

The new Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot program has closed the application for eligible communities. It said that the list of selected communities will be announced in spring 2019.
Does anyone here know if there is any update on this program?

• Rhineland/Plum Coulee /Gretna/Altona, MB
• Moose Jaw, SK

• West Kootenay (Trail, Castlegar, Rossland, Nelson), BC

Now to me some of these places are not rural at all, but they have been accepted, so the government must think so.

No I am applying in the common-law spouse inland. I live in a rural part of newfoundland
