Smile26, I guess they sometimes reply e-mails and sometimes don't. There's been people who got a reply from the visa office and people who didn't.
Hopefully, you will get some good news soon.
In most cases, they just send the generic reply that the application is in process similar to the one I received.

hello everyone!I am currently working as a live in caregiver here in canada and my permanent residency is already in process.I am planning to visit detroit,michigan for 3 days, but i just found out that my temporary resident visa was already expired.My question is that,can i apply for my re-entry visa in detroit and can they issue the visa on the same day?what are the requirements for the application for a re-entry visa?Hope somebody could help me.Thank you and God blesss!

If you have a valid work permit and are only going to the US or St. Pierre et Miquelon, you don't require a new TRV. You will be re-admitted on the strength of your work permit.

teusday11, you don't need a re-entry visa if you have a valid work/study permit and you are only going to visit US.
I have done it a few times with no problem.
Passionate, did you get your visa yet, I sent my documents on 30 June and they received on 5th july at fort erie, i din get any reply from them yet and its almost three months now, i am also from da country with 10 days more processing time
