Unless the child is the one who is being persecuted, asylum claims are not like H&C claims where the best interest of the child is considered.

Hello all asylum seekers,
Did any one receive an update of his/her refugee claimant?

My friend applied on December 2019 and Her sister received a letter to submit supporting documents in two weeks, and submitted documents in October 2020.

Her sister is still waiting and no update on her claim.

Any one recently got hearing date, or any other update to share their timeline please?

Did your friend got their decision or she is still waiting? I heard some people are getting their decision quicker.

In my case they asked for supporting documents however they never stated its expedited processing and now my hearing with one month notice. could anyone help me with preparation and any idea what question will they asked ?

I got file review in september but my lawyer sent documents on 1 st december . Then he got minister intervention after 1 week. Hearing date TBD

Did your lawyer miss the deadline mentioned in the notice regarding the file review process. That might be the reason behind receiving the hearing request.

No it is not mentioned. It is not just hearing it is minister intervention notice.

Are your parents refugee claimant or they are protected person. They first need to wait for their refugee status. After they receive “protected person”. The pr is confirmed after that but the process takes any where around 2-3 years expect delays of COVID. You can do is just wait. Keep calm.

Hi , I’ve had my short hearing yesterday ,it was a virtual hearing ,it took around 1,5 hour and the decision was positive,the board member gave a break for 20minutes after the break she was smiling and told me that my claim was accepted..I wish everyone can get their decision as soon as possible with a positive one..
