Any nigerian or ghanaian student applying for study permit for fall 2017?

Ok, was theirs for fall 2017? Mine was 10weeks yesterday

I think that will be for those that do not pass some earlier screaning in some docs required for the application, my earlier application took like 9-10 weeks and still got refused - 6/01/2017 - 08/03/2017

exactly.. the process of approval is in stages and once u dont meet the next phase then u r out.

He is not on the forum, however we both completed Uni. o. Gh and he applied about a week earlier than...actually I did his application.

Already has a Credential from Wisconsin International University College in Ghana. Travel history to south Africa only. Working as portfolio advisor at BHS capital money lending. Studies to be paid by father who is a retired army personnel. BF not established. Application Refused.

Can somebody take a bite into this and get me to undertand what the VO meant by BF not established, is that bonafide student ?

I will think so Playcold. and what was the persons undergrad. program at Wisconsin? is the Program he/she applied at at Humber a Master, Post Grad Dip , Dip. or a Cert. And for the sake of waiting for our visa's, when did he/she applied and when was the refusal received...Thanks

She already has a business management and computer studies degree from wisconsin and was going for Global management post graduate certificate , isn't a PGC higher than a degree from here ? Cos you need a degree to apply , you cant get a pgc program in canada with a high school certificate. In that sense isnt the argument about her degree from here being superior flawed ?

I don't believe the 20 weeks processing time(for Ghana) though it's stated in the CIC site. They also have it there that if you are going for September intake apply in May/June. The duration stated is the average time it took to process students' visa within a certain period of application. If you do your homework well, and avoid mistakes in your application, I believe it could take 6weeks.

I got my admission letter to Univ of Calgary yesterday but I would apply in first week in June as I need my passport now to travel.

Yes it will take 2months before your visa is processed.
