What are the factors they consider when checking eligibility of sponsor to sponsor a dependant child outside of Canada?

How long does the sponsor (a permanent resident of Canada) need to have lived in Canada in order to sponsor a dependant?

There's no minimum amount of time a sponsor needs to live in Canada in order to sponsor a dependent child. However they do have to meet the PR residency requirement at the time they submit the sponsorship application. The sponsor also cannot be on social assistance or bankrupt.
