You right. I just checked their website and it says 26 days. The CIC website still says 16-18 weeks.
Glad they shorten the time. It took about 12 weeks few years ago when I requested it.

and remember if you have already given them a police certificate from a country and you no longer live in that country, you don't need to. So basically police certificates from the country that you're currently residing and from all the other ones that you have lived in for more than 6 months but haven't provided the good Canadians with a police certificate from them
