seeing you state this actually makes me wonder WHY ARE WE NOT ONE OF THOSE, like what is our difference? how is that they people have already gotten it while we wait in misery away from our loved ones?

Last year Ankara's processing average was 6 months, it was one of the fastest V.O and their average increased from 6 to 16 months on spousal sponsorship applications.
CIC processing format is always changing, and we can't do anything.
I have the same situation. Ankara asked me the pay the right of permanent residency on May 16. My question is that did you get any news after paying the fee so far? I am so depressed.

WOW that is truly sad ... I remember the same when it would only take a few months to process visas for spouses and I would never think I would be in the same boat .. All I am praying for is that the 16 month being stated is not accurate ... I can't wait another 10 months to see someone I love .. It's funny how we all want better future for our spouses and kids to come yet its hard to even start that dream ...

BY the way I have applied outland. how long does it take after this request to get visa requested message?
The thing is, even if they have gotten super busy, they can always bring some people to help them out, like they could have transferred the Syrian embassy employees along with the files and let them continue working on the files they were working on in Syria.
But knowing Canadian gov so cheap for such expenses, and yet they spend millions on hobby and crazy spending on their vacations, which comes out of the same funds.
if you have a business and your business gets super busy its just a common sense that you would hire more people to boost the sales.

Oh my that is great to hear !! I hope ASAP and I will keep you updated as well, they send me the RPRF request after a week of in process no idea what it means maybe a visa will be issued soon ? praying for us all !
Good for you Brunette, hope you get the visa very soon, update us in details please, I do agree with the other user regarding hiring more officers or even over pay them to process files faster, the fact is if immigration Canada must raise all fees up( both processing fee and landing fees) 4 or 5 times for sure only few people will complain, and majority of people will be happy of accelerating the entire process, how long takes until they know this fact?
