I see so many of you have a date of passport required, does that mean you have to send your passport in, or can I just go there with my wife and wait in Turkey for the visa to be issued?

I rarely post here but I read the posts everyday and follow everyone's progress on the spread sheet. I wanted you all to know that today we received a letter from CIC requesting payment of the landing fee. This is good news in our opinion. It seems to me that they would not request payment of this fee if the didn't intend to issue a visa for my wife. Does anyone have any opinions on this?
I'll courier the receipt tomorrow and they'll receive it on monday. I'm assuming that we should see a passport request sometime in the next month? What do you guys thing??!!

Are you inland or outland? My application is outland and we paid ALL fees when we first submitted our first application(sponsorship), so if you are inland, it is probably great news indeed!! Someone with more knowledge will probably answer your question pretty soon!
Vanman, go on page 46, some have received the same request about the landing fee and yes by the looks of it it takes 2-3 months before PPR is requested....that is if they don't ask for interview....you will soon find out!! Keep us posted )))
