Hello,
I have searched through several months and spreadsheets but no one seems to be working with the VO in Ankara. Anyone have any experience with this office? They cover several countries including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkmenistan. Just wondering how your experience was-especially if you were in one of the countries other than Turkey that are covered by this office. Did that take longer than the average 5 months they post?
i hope everyone is doing well... any new updates about the Ankara office??
for the interview could you please give us examples of what kind of dates? and what kind of questions? i mean wedding / birthdays i understand but were there others? as well can we send the passport in to get the visa or do we have to go to Ankara??

Hello anyone working with the Ankara office,
Just so you know... they are AWESOME to deal with so far! My husband has his interview next week which they informed me by email a few weeks ago and then they called to follow up and confirm that he was attending. At this time I spoke to the immigration officer and she was friendly and positive.
They let us know to bring in more proof if we have it but no need to submit documents from before.
If the applicant does not speak English or Turkish, they must bring their own interpreter (FYI).

Ankara is one of the fastest visa office overall. They complete 80% applications in 6 months. But every case is different, it may take shorter or longer. 6 months is the avarege time.
If they ask an interview of course you have to go there. Otherwise it's not needed.
If the relationship is common-in law or conjugal interview chance is 99%. Good luck!

So the passport can be sent to them and they send it back if no interview is required?!?!

Guys they finally updated the new processing time today. so now Ankara VO new processing time is 6 months. it was 5 months before, and now 6 moths. i think that means all the spousal application they receive, this new processing time would count for it.
Married my Turkish husband in Turkey almost a year ago, and we have been trying to get him a tourist visa to come visit me in Canada. However we keep getting the roundabout by the visa in Ankara, he does not live in Ankara so he has travelled to the embassy there a few times, and every time they keep telling him that he needs something else. The last time, 2 weeks before he was supposed to come here, they told him that he needed a specific medical report from a doctor, so he did that last week, only then this week they told him it had to be a SPECIFIC doctor. Why can't the people in that embassy disclose all the full information at once instead of looking for other excuses to give a visa?
Has anyone else been able to get a tourist visa from this visa office in Ankara?
